I was honoured to be invited to join the Bristol 1904 arts Club as a “Red Feather” Artist towards the end of last year. The club meets every Wednesday for an evening of live musical entertainment in their purpose-built 1920’s arts barn in down-town Bristol. The Red Feathers meet early in the art studios to prepare a different themed sketch every week which are then displayed for sale to other members and guests during the evening.

I have really enjoyed getting to know my fellow red feathers and many other members of the club which provides a great social outlet in a wonderful venue. The club dates back -as you might have guessed -to 1904 and has been home to many talented local artists over the years.
Every year the club put on a public exhibition of the Red Feathers’ recent work and I was pleased to include several of my oil paintings in the exhibition in May this year. The exhibition, which was opened by the Lord Mayor of Bristol, was very well attended and a good number of sales were made including four of my paintings.
